Tip Sheet: Employment - Wayne State pays young adults to get job training

A program conducted by Wayne State 's Word Processing Training Center in the Computer Science Department offers training and job placement assistance to young adults in Detroit - and pays those who participate. The program features hands-on computer training and familiarization with various software programs. Since its inception 24 years ago, the training center has been a source of qualified employees for more than 1,000 companies in the Detroit area. The next session begins Aug. 22.
